Hi—I’m Goldie Rutherford. I’m a digital strategist, web designer, copywriter, and systems thinker based in Australia. But more than that, I’m someone who believes in technology that serves people—not the other way around.

For most of the last decade, I’ve helped small businesses and not-for-profits get online with more confidence, more clarity, and far less stress. How I got here—and why it matters

Before I stepped into digital strategy, I worked in the disability sector. I saw up close how systems either support or suffocate the people within them. I watched small teams do big work with limited resources. I learned to listen carefully, explain things clearly, and never assume someone had time to “just figure it out.” When I pivoted into digital, I carried those same principles with me.

I wasn’t interested in building shiny websites that looked good on a pitch deck but fell apart under real-life pressure. I wanted to help people actually use their tools. To make websites feel human. To turn copy into clarity. And to take the fear out of tech for teams who already had enough on their plates.

And that’s what I do now—every day.
